    Hi fellow Halo Wikians!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Dutch counterpart Wilc0 cannot publish this week's Halo 101 blog. Instead I'm filling in for him. This week's topic was originally intended to be Blue Team but instead I thought I'd cover the Cole Protocol and allow Wilc0 to cover Blue Team in the next instalment of this blog series.

United Nations Space Command Emergency Priority Order 098831A-1, colloquially known as the Cole Protocol, was enacted by Admiral Cole Preston following first contact with the Covenant on Harvest as a means of perturbing the Covenants effort to locate Earth and the inner colonies. The Cole Protocol detailed procedures to enact in the event of engaging with or retreating from Covenant forces. The protoco…

It's less than a month until release, and after two tastes of Destiny (E3's alpha and the summer beta) people are really gearing up for this next big hit. The beta attracted a massive 4.6 million participants, the largest open beta test for any console game ever and, despite being a brand new IP, Destiny has already accumulated numerous awards and achievements. In fact, Destiny is currently boasting the title of most pre-ordered new IP in history. But what is it about Destiny that's attracting so much attention in the gaming community?

Is Destiny's success purely down to Bungie's great name, and instead the hype is merely a product of an already established fan base from their previous critically acclaimed franchise, Halo? Perhaps - though …

    test blog for E3

    June 23, 2014 by T3CHNOCIDE

It's been a week since one of the largest gaming events of the year had closed it's doors, and the dust is only now beginning to settle. Last year we saw the unveiling of the big two (and a half) next generation consoles, making for an awesome spectacle as the two (and a half) gaming giants, Sony and Microsoft (plus Nintendo?), clashed together in an almost desperate attempt to "win" E3 2013. While the jury typically fell in favour of Sony's PlayStation 4, I can't help fall for my Microsoft fanboy tendencies and claim that the Xbox One took the real title - Kinect voice command and console TV all the way. But, I digress.

The titanic battle of the consoles made for great viewing during the conferences as each team cheered on their own mechanical …

A simplified history of Halo ...
    Hello Wikians!

Last year saw the release of some of the best games this industry has ever seen, from the free roaming Assassins Creed 3 to the competitive first person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. However, one of the most outstanding games of the year has to have been the revival of the Halo franchise with Halo 4! In this blog I will briefly cover the history of Halo's expansive story-line with the most significant events which led up to that memorable moment: "Wake up John ..."

We will visit the history of the mysterious Forerunners, the elusive species who created the fabled super weapons known as "Halos", and slowly progress from the construction of the Halo array to the discovery of Requiem years lat…

    A Halo Education ...

    November 20, 2012 by T3CHNOCIDE

    Hello fellow Halo Nationals!

In October, our main page received a clean up and make over, whilst it looks better than the previous version, I feel we can do better! Over the next week or so, I will be working on a new main page layout, and wikia theme that best reflects Halo Nation's true self: professional, modern, and just generally awesome. The theme may come as a shock to some users, as we are planning on switching from our usual bright background to a darker one, but fear not, this will not effect the legibility of the wiki and it's content; if anything it will make everything easier to read!

In this planned update, we are planning to bring back some old features, such as the "Did you know?" feature and community highlights! But for us …
